Once again in 2002 I was going to regularly post images here as an evolving self assignment. My attempt was to be to post them fairly regularly, but as I'm much busier this year than I was in 2001, I was not be able to post them as "on time" as I did last year and so have decided that I must take a break from the project for a while. I am still shooting all the time, but I simply don't have the time to upload them in a timely fashion as I did last year before business got this good.
Kyle started the PAW idea on the LUG as a way to justify the (often far too exhorbitant) equipment purchases that we had all made by attempting to create some actual good photographs with that equipment. While Leicas are awesome tools, this year I will again use whatever camera I think best enables me to make the best photo at the time. Unlike last year, I will try to mention the particulars for those who are interested in such things. If this causes brand snobs to not comment on my images shot with a "lesser brand", so be it. Only the end of the year will tell if I've succeeded making better images than I was making at the start, and that is the real goal anyhow. Stagnation is creative death. Before having a personal assignment again, I was dying.
